CoStrategix Wins Best Places to Work Finalist

CoStrategix is proud to be a Best Places to Work finalist for a fifth year in a row. The award from the Cincinnati Business Courier recognizes companies that rank at the top for workplace motivation, including senior leadership, team effectiveness, work recognition, and benefits.

Numerology scholars say that No. 5 symbolizes freedom, curiosity, and change. In the world of work, this is expressed as a desire to seek adventure and explore new possibilities. That definition certainly encapsulates CoStrategix’s approach to workplace motivation.

“At the core, Gixers (CoStrateGIX employees) are curious about learning new things,” said Heather Cloud, Director of HR and Talent at CoStrategix. “By tackling the challenges at work, we fuel our own creative engines. We believe that learning and acquiring new experiences are key to transformative shifts, both at a personal level and for the lives and communities we interact with.”

She explained: “We exist at CoStrategix to tap into each other’s curiosity and realize new possibilities. Our mission is to advance business models for the digital age. In today’s age of Artificial Intelligence, this purpose provides the canvas for Gixers to realize our full potential. We prioritize learning, because we believe that is the new currency that drives advancement – and eventually financial success, too. We are a Best Place to Work finalist because our culture is intentionally and carefully shaped by our core purpose and values.”

This past year, CoStrategix transitioned to an OKR framework to manage our performance through Objectives and Key Results. Initiatives are not “top-down” but rather “ground-up,” which makes it easy for leaders to engage team members in meeting the objectives.

Gixer Labs is CoStrategix’s research and digital innovation program that takes on targeted, difficult business problems and solves them by applying leading-edge technologies. Everyone in the company is encouraged and empowered to submit ideas. Gixer Labs give Gixers the opportunity to acquire new skills, showcase leadership, and foster collaboration.

But exploring new things isn’t only about client work – it’s about teamwork and having fun, too. This year the Culture Club organized Wellness Month activities including a ping pong tournament, Gixer Open putt-putt challenge, book club, and an on-site visit by the Stretch Lab. Our most unusual perk is our new 9-hole mini-golf course at the “Carver Woods Country Club” (the back room of our office on Carver Woods Dr). Holes include a “firewall,” a functioning windmill, a “mouse trap,” a gopher hole ala Cadddyshack, and many others. The course was designed and built by two of our employees using spare parts from our office renovation.

“I’d like to personally thank each and every Gixer for making CoStrategix a company of choice. Every Gixer plays a role in co-developing our culture – inviting curiosity, respectfully challenging ingrained ways of thinking, and embracing our diversity,” said Nan Jayaram, CEO and founder of CoStrategix.
